Infor held an Infor Customer Day conference: named Designed for Progress

Infor experts and executives gave a talk about the digital transformation of business, the company’s latest products and methods to optimize business processes, as well as about enterprise management through the efficient use of cutting-edge technologies, applications, and social media. They presented novel features of Infor LN and Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) ERP systems, Infor Birst analytical platform, and Infor d/EPM planning platform, as well as Infor EAM and Infor SCM product lines.

Infor’s strategy in Eastern Europe is to continually invest into the development of the partner network, because local partner companies speak the same language with their current and future customers, are aware of the local business specificity, and understand how to apply Infor’s global best practices to the local market. When talking about Infor’s evolution, Joerg Jung said, ‘It is based on three components – aggregation (acquisition of key applications), digital transformation (modernization and unification of technologies), and well-managed performance (conquering new markets).’

Phil Lewis, Vice President of Consulting at Infor, dedicated his presentation to digital transformation, which is important for almost every enterprise. To put it simply, 40% of the companies would die if they are not ready for change. Transformation does not so much require new technical solutions, ‘as a tough team ready to make ambitious ideas happen.’ According to the speaker, ‘Digital transformation is not only a technical but also a creative process.’ And yet, that is a concept that allows one to efficiently integrate business, technology, and human resources against the background of automation of existing business processes and the formation of new ones.

‘Today’s market conditions pose difficult tasks for any business: it is necessary to simultaneously achieve cost reduction and continuous improvement in the quality of service,’ says Dmitry MartynovInfor official representative in Russia and the CIS. – ‘At the Infor Customer Day conference, we spoke about the potential of digital transformation and the need for organizations to involve customers and employees by using the most effective opportunities that will help companies become more successful in the market. The goal of the event, to talk about solutions that will help our customers and partners to adapt as quickly as possible to any changes, has been achieved, and every company knows how to increase efficiency.’
