Infor Automotive Exchange is an automotive requirements management solution for automotive suppliers. The system extends and complements traditional ERP business processes, supports standard business practices in the automotive industry, and supports a variety of standard trading partners’ business practices.
Infor Automotive Exchange contains the following software components:
Infor Automotive Exchange components use Infor ION technology and work together with other components that are connected to Infor ION Connect.
Infor Automotive Exchange Master Data is an application that manages master data. Automotive Exchange components use master data that is stored in code lists and codes. This information is not contained in RBS messages that are processed by Automotive Exchange components and are not provided by the ERP system. These codes and their lists can be accessed in each Automotive Exchange component.
Special fields of the item master data, the customer master data, and the carrier master data that are not provided by the ERP system can be stored in Infor Automotive Exchange Master Data. They are also managed there. These data are used by Export Manager to print shipping documents, labels and export documents.
Infor Automotive Exchange Master Data also provides system features that allow users to manage scheduled jobs of Automotive Exchange components.
Infor Automotive Exchange Print Manager is an application for printing and managing print requests generated by Automotive Exchange components. The Automotive Exchange components are applied the same printing solution with the same interface for handling print requests. Infor Automotive Exchange Print Manager can be accessed from each Automotive Exchange component. Infor Automotive Exchange Print Manager sends print requests to the InterFormNG print supplier that meets the channel partner’s print requirements and customer requirements.
Infor Automotive Exchange Export Manager is a solution for shipping and international trade. This component meets the export, shipment and supplier requirements in the automotive industry.
The Export Manager imports shipment information as well as commercial invoice and proforma invoice data from the connected ERP system. The imported information is processed according to the customized workflow and used to print documents, labels, barcodes, invoices, and pre-shipment notifications. Infor Automotive Exchange Export Manager allows users to manually edit and add the required data.
Export Manager exports processed data to Transformation Services. The data are then converted to the preferred to the trading partner’s preferred EDI format and transferred to the connected OEM system using Exchange Services.
Messages about new delivery orders, shipment schedules, and planning schedules are converted by Transformation Services to Shipment Schedule, Planning Schedule, and Sequence Schedule. Sales Order Release Management imports these RBS messages from Infor ION Connect and processes the new requirements based on the rules configured for a particular trading partner and contract data from the associated ERP system.
Sales Order Release Management creates a new unit plan for imported message type requests. Sales Order Release Management checks and prepares a new unit plan with rules configured for a specific sales partner and calculates transit quantities. The requirements of the new unit plan are merged with the existing requirements of the same message type. Sales Order Release Management then combines the requirements of the different message types into a new merged plan and calculates the new net quantity.
Shipment and inventory consumption data imported from the ERP system are used to update plans and cumulations. A new version of the merged plan is created and published.
Infor Automotive Exchange Transformation Services is a universal module in Automotive Exchange for data transformation. Using this component, you can convert structured data (RBS messages, EDI messages with specific standards and message types, files in XML formats, etc.) from one format to another.
Data and message conversion rules are specific to trading partners and business processes. The main transformation is based on and controlled by the XSLT stylesheet.
Transformation Services uses Infor ION Connect, Infor Automotive Exchange Exchange Services, and the classic file system to receive and exchange messages with channel partners.
Infor Automotive Exchange Exchange Services sends outbound EDI messages from Transformation Services to third-party business partners, receives inbound EDI messages from trading partners, sends them to Transformation Services, and polls to obtain new data. Infor Automotive Exchange Exchange Services supports various protocols such as FTP, FTPS, OFTP, OFTP2 and X.400 for ISDN. Protocols OFTP and OFTP2 are available for ISDN and TCP / IP connections. Protocol OFTP2, supports high-speed Internet connections and has advanced secure data exchange capabilities.
